Posted a day early again because I've been late so much lately.

Silly Minkie. You can't out spy a professional spy! Meigumi is a Nekomata who's job it is to spy on the Mag Leung.

The Minkie do have some horses but very few. The super storm "Angurad" makes it impossible to build permanent above ground corrals so the number of horses they can keep is limited to how many they can bring below ground during the storm every other year.

I had an ex that had "tricky pillowtalk" like that. It's totally unfair!

Since Minkie and Dalai can run so much faster than humans, I wonder if they could work together to corral and capture wild horses on short notice. They do have some horses, so there's that. I'm thinking that if war is inevitable and the Royal Guard is already trained as cavalry, they'd be better off going with their strength rather than re-train them.

War Horses

Unfortunately, you have Light Cavalry, Heavy Cavalry and Mounted Infantry.

All of which require different types of horse, but all of which require well trained animals.
Like police horses, these animals must be fit, robust and well trained in their theatre of war.

The training can typically take a year or more and every few years, they need to be retrained.

Then there is the necessary experience required of the mounted rider in their theatre of War.
This is an arduous daily experience that has no substitute for hands on practise.

Rounding up a few strays and hoping for the best, simply doesn't work.
With all due respect to Hollywood.

The easiest to train would be mounted infantry, who dismounted to fight, but these are heavy (armored) cavalry, so it would be the most intensive training of the three.

King Stollo's insistence that the Royal Guard be trained as cavalry has been the subject of many conversations.
