This page was rendered in Carrara - harder program to work with but very interesting lighting.

Also, new page of WhiteOut is up. Check it out!

Still not thought about rescuing the rest of his hot-to-trot band of merry mayhem makers. I would conclude he has been bespelled by vet another witchie-poo, hopefully this place is outside the main time stream so he can step in and save his harem.
We are now going to see how she solves her population problem he becomes big daddy tom cat and breeds her.

Just one more question here is this what they mean by "Magic Mushrooms"?

To date Liam has only slept with one cat-girl on two or three occasions ...and I don't think he's too crazy about that one. (dream sequences)
So is Yokai different? ...or just some strange?

A he hasn't had that much time to check all available pussy, pun intended, and our little sorceress gonna make him one hella big tomcat think she gonna have her way with him just like Liri did not see him fight against it and he invited her in for a nightcap after the banquet. Again this gonna be a case of you can't force the willing and cooperative.

The art continues to be very strong in this comic. It is curious that Liam is making no effort to get back to his guides.

format question

OK, I get that books are vertical. But computer screens today are HORIZONTAL.

Why do WEB (ie: to be viewed on a computer) comic artists keep using a vertical format that requires scrolling, instead of a horizontal format where I could see the entire page all at once? I'm really curious about this. The problem seems endemic.

There's some great art being done (here included) but having to scroll rather than being able to absorb the whole page just doesn't bloody work! And yes, I have a 27", high rez (2560x1440) screen, and I still have to scroll the image.

I think I have a partial answer, at least for this comic: many of the "pages" are really, really long and would need scrolling in either direction. Some, however, still seem to mimic "book" format.

Actually the format is based on a study of webcomic pages where the ideal format for today's users would be 1090 wide and each frame is no higher than 790. This page is meant to be viewed in 3 frames; the title is like a separate frame in itself.

There are a couple pages that break from this format though, that are "scroll-surprise" pages, where the reader sees what's going on in the top of the frame and when they scroll down they are surprised. That seems a bit iffy to me so I think I only used it twice.

Edit: I forgot to add, the same study says that readers expect to have to scroll vertically but they hate scrolling horizontally -- so never go over 1100 width. That may get larger in the future though.
